A Long-Cherished Dream

Huaifu, an exceptional acrobat from his hometown of acrobatics, is 35 years old and about to retire. He takes on a new challenge: to play the leading role in the new acrobatic historical show Dawn of Shanghai. Before the performance, he returned to his hometown in rural Henan Province. Revisiting the old haunt brought back memories of his childhood tough times and the reluctance of leaving parents behind. With the show coming up soon, his old injuries flare up during rehearsal.
