'A Long Cherished Dream' won Best Documentary Series at the 28th Shanghai TV Festival Magnolia Awards.

On June 23rd, the 28th Shanghai Television Festival Magnolia Awards winners were announced.


The documentary series 'A Long Cherished Dream' produced by ARTeFACT Entertainment won the 'Best Documentary Series' award.


Directed by Oscar-winning documentary filmmaker Malcolm Clarke, 'A Long Cherished Dream' focuses on the stories of grassroots village party secretaries, relocated poverty alleviation farmers, female truck drivers, acrobats, and private entrepreneurs from the perspective of foreigners. It explores and narrates the stories of individuals facing opportunities and challenges, sticking to their beliefs, faith, and confidence in their struggle. It vividly presents the struggle of ordinary Chinese people for a better and happier life, reflecting the precious qualities of the Chinese nation's self-reliance and perseverance in the interweaving of individuals and the times. It showcases a more authentic, multidimensional, and vivid image of China to the world.
