A graduate of the School of Communication, Hong Kong Baptist University with a master's degree in Producing for Film Television and New Media, Jim used to operate the school's official new media platform during university. He worked in Hong Kong Ta Kung Wen Wei Media Group as a video news editor after he graduated and got experience in choreographing and producing large-scale evening parties, new media videos and live webcasts. He's worked on a few ARTeFACT productions such as 'A Long Cherished Dream', 'Rashomon Hong Kong', 'Hong Kong Returns' and 'Viral'.
